Let's PLAY BALL!
Following Friday’s announcement by Baseball Ontario that the suspension of in person baseball activities has been lifted, Kincardine Minor Baseball is moving towards on field activities for most age groups. Starting next week Midget, Bantam, Peewee, Mosquito and Rookie Ball teams will start taking shape, which will include on field workouts. (Unfortunately, at this time we will not be able to offer a program for the Tee Ball Age group of 5U). Following provincial health guidelines for phase 2, as well as the field management guidelines set out by Baseball Ontario we are excited to get the kids out on the field.

In the beginning workouts will look slightly different than what we are used to. Due to the strict gathering limit of 10 people, our workouts will be smaller, and must adhere to the Baseball Ontario protocols. At this time, we cannot guarantee that there will be any games, but we are still hopeful. All registered players will be contacted by their coach or division convener explaining health guidelines to participate in our initial workouts, and the first workout dates. Anyone participating this year will be required to sign a waiver form prior to taking the field for the first time. This form will be provided, and need to be signed at the first practice.

For parents that have informed us of their intent to withdraw, we will be allowing the option of a refund, or moving your registration fee to the 2021 season. If you have already notified KMBA that your intent is not to play, you will be contacted shortly. If you have not yet notified us that you would not like to participate this year, then please contact us via email at [email protected].

For those that have not yet registered, but would like to, we hope to open registration once we have a little more clarification from the WOBA to give more people the opportunity to play ball.

We are extremely excited to get our programs up and running, and can’t wait to get the kids out on the field. It’s been a long time coming, but we finally get to hear those great words…..

PLAY BALL!!!
