KMBA Air Quality Policy
In order to apply a consistent approach to any air quality issues this summer, KMBA has adopted the following policy to determine when games and practices will be allowed to take place.
Air quality measurements will be taken from the station in Tiverton:
https://weather.gc.ca/airquality/pages/onaq-028_e.html
Decision to play will be based on the guidelines provided by the Government of Canada:
https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/air-quality-health-index/understanding-messages.html
For all games and practices, play will continue as long as the Air Quality Health Index in Tiverton is less than 10. Note that players and coaches considered to be "at risk" due to respiratory or heart conditions should consider their own needs on a case by case basis even at lower levels and adjust activity accordingly.
Any time that the Air Quality Health Index in Tiverton is 10 or greater, all games and practices will be suspended until air quality improves.
